Trail Park Klínovec is not only intended for experienced cyclists. The area offers 30 km of trails of four difficulties, from the lightest to the most demanding. There is also a rental shop and complete facilities. Light trails are also suitable for beginner cyclists and therefore also for children. They are especially fun when going down on our dirt scooters. In addition, you can warm up on the Pump Track right at the top. You and your children will certainly appreciate that the whole area is the only one in the Czech Republic completely served by a chairlift. On the way up, you can relax and as a bonus you can enjoy beautiful views of the surroundings.

effortless cycling

Do you like the idea of a bike trip, but you are afraid of challenging mountain terrain? You will take the chairlift to the top of Klínovec and you will drive down along mostly slightly descending asphalt and paved gravel roads. Thanks to their unpretentious character, they are the most suitable choice for families with children.

Pašerácká cesta (9 km)

Head in the opposite direction of the old Pašerácká road leading from the village of Suchá! The route will offer several spectacular views before plunging into the deep forests above the town of Jáchymov.

Meluzína (12 km)

This route will take you under Meluzín – a mysterious and rocky hill, which many consider to be the most beautiful in the whole Ore Mountains. The brave can also climb to its top on foot with a breathtaking view of Klínovec. In that case, be sure to bring a bicycle lock with you.

Boží Dar
The highest-altitude city in Central Europe

Ježíškova cesta

The trail leads through the Božídarské rašeliniště National Nature Reserve, which has been declared an internationally important wetland under the Ramsar Convention. This 3.2 km long trail begins at the start of the Krušnohorská magistrála, where the first information board is also located. Most of the trail runs along boardwalks, which ensure the safety of tourists as well as the peat bog and the rare species of animals and plants that live there.

Educational Trail Božídarské rašeliniště

A fun-filled trail for all children. The more adventurous ones can try to conquer the entire 12.9 km long circuit, or take it easy and explore the shorter 5.6 km long inner circuit. Along the trail, you will complete various tasks, which you will record in your notebook. The entire route can be completed year-round, on foot, by bike, or even with a stroller.

The Ore Mountains UNESCO World Heritage Landscape

The mining memorials of the Saxonian and Bohemian sides were added to the world cultural heritage UNESCO in the year 2019. A unique value of the mining region Erzgebirge/Ore Mountains is supported by various internationally recognized inventions and innovations in the area of mining and metallurgical technologies. The inventions successfully spread from the Ore Mountains into the whole of Europe and over the ocean in the 16th century. The Ore Mountains region influenced progress in many fields such as metallurgical legislation, administration, and education, or monetary systems. This claim is backed by the story of tolar from Jáchymov, which turned into the European currency used for more than 300 years and preceded the American dollar.

Families with children may be amazed by the visit of the mining sites Johannes or Mauritius. Hiking the 910-metre-high mountain Medník famous from the cult Czech tv series is also great fun. The area is well-known for iron mining in the past so the hill is literary larded with drifts. A former mining village Meděnec is situated under the southern range of the mountain. The top of the mountain offers a 360 view of the Ore Mountains and a wind park that appears almost cosmic-like within the scenery.

Jáchymov

The first radon spa of global significance, with a unique history linked to the minting of the Jáchymov thaler, which gave its name to today’s US dollar. Jáchymov is also the place where the Curies discovered polonium and radium. For more than 100 years, people have been treated here with a unique natural healing source – radon water. And most importantly, our Prima Express bubble cable car ends in close proximity (3 km from the center).

Jáchymov is primarily known for its mines and references to them. For example, you can explore the Radon Trail or Jáchymov Hell – an 8.5 km long educational trail that commemorates the fate of political prisoners forced into labor camps. On the other hand, you can relax at the Agricola Spa Center, where you will find a fitness center, solarium, salt cave, cryochamber, and, above all, the Agricola Aquacenter. Here you will find a swimming pool, water slide, relaxation pool, two whirlpools, a children’s paddling pool, a Kneipp path, and, above all, the hot new Agricola Sauna Mine – a complex of saunas with a Ore Mountains mining theme.
